Leighton Lord practices in the areas of corporate, partnership, economic development and real estate law with special emphasis in real estate finance, real estate and economic development, commercial leasing and state land sale registrations.
Mr. Lord is chairman of the board for Nexsen Pruet. In this leadership position Mr. Lord is responsible for shaping the firm's strategy and vision.
Prior to joining Nexsen Pruet, Mr. Lord clerked for the prestigious Delaware Chancery Court before practicing corporate litigation in Wilmington, Delaware. Mr. Lord also served for three years as staff counsel to the U.S. Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations.
Mr. Lord is a contributing author of "Protecting the Land: Conservation Easements Past, Present and Future." He received his law degree from Vanderbilt University, with honors.
